Our YMCA is an organization that provides various services to persons throughout our community. We serve citizens of all ages, from all walks of life. We make an effort to provide quality programs, to maintain a first-class facility, and to show respect to all members and participants. I am proud to serve on this active board and to be associated with the excellent staff members of the Odessa YMCA.

I serve on the board because the Y does great things for Odessa.  It affects almost every person in Odessa at some point whether it be childcare, youth sports, fitness, Senior programs or just grandparents watching their grandchild in an event.  Not to mention it’s all in a Christian environment.  What’s not to love!

I volunteer at the Odessa Family Y because I enjoy giving back to our community. The Odessa Family Y touches a large part of our community in one way of another through childcare, youth sports, adult sports, group fitness, seniors or any program offered.  I just believe in the Odessa Family Y’s mission.

The main reason that I am on the board is my interest in comprehensive and compassionate child care for children.  The Y meets a need with educational programs, nutritious meals and extended hours for child care.  This helps parents stay employed or finish college.  The children are well cared for and have a loving place to go when they are not at home.
